I am a senior at Gonzaga University studying marketing and sport management.
Background
Hello! My name is McKenna and I am a sports, beauty, health and wellness, and creativity enthusiast. I grew up in Missoula, MT and have dreams of moving to a big city pursuing a career in digital marketing.
I have marketing experience in varying industries including accounting, sports, finance, and fitness. Through each of these experiences, I have successfully implemented strategic marketing campaigns and have developed skills to adapt to the unique demands of each industry. I specialize in social media development and continue to run the social media for the Gonzaga Athletics department. My diverse experiences across multiple industries has not only challenged and refined my marketing skills but has also cultivated a holistic understanding of the business landscape. This has established a solid foundation for future professional endeavors.
I have immersed myself in a variety of extracurriculars while studying at Gonzaga University. I am currently the Chapter President of A Moment of Magic, a 501 (c)(3) organization, and I previously served as the Fundraising Coordinator for two years. I have volunteered in the Spokane community at Boys & Girls Club and at House of Charity Spokane.
What I do
From creating engaging social media content, designing and executing golf tournament sponsor activations, and working game-day operations for Gonzaga Athletics, I have experience in the varying components of the marketing industry. Having worked with HTML, Python, Salesforce, Meta, and other digital technologies, I have a passion for the effects of digital marketing strategies in the scope of varying businesses and their approach to tracking and enhancing data methods.

I have worked with CBIZ Berntson Porter to creatively developed themed golf course sponsorships, coordinated with course contacts, and engaged other employees to seamlessly network with current and potential clients.

Gonzaga University Athletics
At Gonzaga University, I facilitate game day operations, contribute to marketing strategy and campaigns, and organize and collaborate on live-in-game promotional events. Most notably, I maintain creative autonomy over Gonzaga Athletics social media platforms and have crafted engaging content across multiple platforms, resulting in a 185.6% Facebook reach increase and a 270.8% Instagram reach increase since beginning in October 2022.

I worked as the only marketing intern in the office to lead meetings with managing directors to integrate updated client content reports into Salesforce. I also planned and executed activation of golf tournament sponsorship activations to direct new client leads back to marketing. I also provided administrative work pertaining to internal and external marketing communications including client gifts, monthly marketing emails, and updating bounce lists.
